MTV Video Music Awards 2026: Lista completa de Ganadores

LISA fue la encargada de inaugurar la lista de premiados de la noche al conquistar el reconocimiento a Mejor Pop por su canción “Dream”, realizada junto a Kentaro Sakaguchi. Por su parte, Sienna Spiro obtuvo el galardón a Mejor Artista Nuevo, una categoría cuyo resultado estuvo en manos del público mediante la votación de los fans durante la ceremonia.

En cuanto a las nominaciones, Madonna partía como la artista con mayor número de candidaturas, acumulando 13 nominaciones. Muy cerca se encontraba Taylor Swift, quien llegó a la ceremonia con 11 menciones y con un historial de 30 premios Moon Person. También figuraban entre las principales candidatas Sabrina Carpenter, con nueve nominaciones; Ariana Grande, con ocho; Bruno Mars, con seis; y PinkPantheress y Zara Larsson, ambas con cinco.

En la representación latina, Shakira encabezaba las nominaciones con tres candidaturas. La colombiana competía en Mejor Latin con “Choka Choka”, junto a Anitta, y “Dai Dai”, en colaboración con Burna Boy. Esta última también apareció en la categoría de Mejor Colaboración, debido a su vínculo con el himno oficial de la Copa Mundial de la FIFA 2026. Sin embargo, el reconocimiento a Mejor Latin, que no fue presentado durante la transmisión televisiva, quedó en manos de Bad Bunny por su canción “NUEVAYoL”.

La ceremonia de los VMAs 2026 estuvo a cargo de Snoop Dogg, quien además participó como productor ejecutivo, y fue transmitida en directo por CBS. La gala contó con una amplia variedad de actuaciones y tributos: Madonna fue la encargada de abrir el espectáculo; Kacey Musgraves protagonizó un homenaje a Dolly Parton; mientras que RAYE, SOMBR y Teddy Swims recordaron el legado de George Michael. Además, Nirvana recibió el Premio Vanguard a la Trayectoria. En el apartado musical también se presentaron LISA, RAYE, Sienna Spiro, Shaboozey, quien actuó junto a Gunna y también en solitario, además de GENER8ION & Yung Lean.

La producción de los VMAs estuvo en manos de Gunpowder & Sky, con Van Toffler como productor. La producción ejecutiva contó con la participación de Jesse Ignjatovic, de Den of Thieves, Barb Bialkowski y Bruce Gillmer, además de Barry Barclay y Floris Bauer. Melanie Block se desempeñó como coproductora ejecutiva, mientras que Gary Lanvy ocupó el cargo de coproductor. Por su parte, Snoop Dogg ejerció como productor ejecutivo junto a Sara Ramaker y Jasmin Ratansi, y Jen Proctor estuvo al frente de la producción ejecutiva de talentos.
